really is nothing in the admincp (tracker settings) announce settings to change or adjust, or tweak. Suggest you leave them as they installed and if you have errors look for the fixes through out these forums, there are issues with the takeupload.php, benc.php, and the announce.php that have been over documented here as to the problems and all the fixes. No reason to go in and bork the site from the announce settings.
If you have tried the other fixes and still having issues then I would look at them, but I have never know the announce settings to even be an issue.
Also as X suggested, install ioncude loader-wizard.php and load it in your browser it will test and report on the status of ioncube, if it is installed currently.
The wdw release is one of the best around, I have installed this for many site owners, but the 3 files I mentioned more then likely have to be changed. after that your set. Have seen this tracker handle 75,000 users with no issues.

im trying to install this using xampp but i get an error

i did the instruction from about. still having problem installing this

errors telling u to use that announce when you create the torrent

Bump: get a free host at least to test it on local aint the best with xampp theres a few about bye-host for one

just download his older version and add the mods its the same thing ts is modded anyways,
then just add the extras you wish then you dont need to pay for a thing
