Wii Issues

I was wondering if someone can please help me with another Wii issue?

I had my Wii modded Apr 07 and haven't ever done any updates to the mod chip/software since it was installed. My Wii system is currently running 3.3U. My Wii can play older games but it seems like I'm starting to have issuese with the newer ones. I've reburned De Blob 3 times and have still had no luck. It shows up on the Wii channel main menu but when I click on it and then start my Wii locks up with a #001 error code. Is there something I should be updating in my system to make this game work and any other future games? Whatever it is I need, please point me in the right direct so I can download it.
