is your server a public server? do you have a real hostname and a public ip on it?
Or do you use youre home pc to setup and test the tracker?
Try to use your login data from a googlemail account, maybe it works but your mails can become a spam or junk note.
Example
Outgoing mail (SMTP) address: googlemail.com
Outgoing mail (SMTP) port: 25
account name:
yourname@googlemail.com
account password: your password goes here
