I agree, really hard to install. Ideally, a script would do this automatically. For example, I certainly don't have all your skills to install it easily.

truthfully if you don't know basic terminal commands / server setup you shouldn't be running a tracker. That goes for any codebase....

The guide he has on the site is actually really easy to use. I ran into some issues with installing. I'm not the perfect with all the commands on Linux and the shit i couldn't figure out you can easily google and get it.
