How can I install ionCube Loader manually?

Some people saying I need to create an ioncube directory and need to put ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so inside of ioncube folder. I did that but still it doesn't work. I have cPanel I couldn't find php.ini file anywhere. I asked the hosting company to install DG2 because I had problem with TS SE v.5.0. They installed DG2 after that ionCube Loader stopped working and I don't want to ask them help again and again.

One of my friend installed ioncube loader for my host manually but i don't know how he did it. If anyone knows how to do it could you show us please.

make a folder named ioncube in wwwroot and put "ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so" in it.
it should work.

Apache/2.0.63 BTW I do not have the access to the php.ini I can't find it.

i have also a problem when i try to install version 5

i did activate ioncube but get when go to

dir/install/install.php the error page not found

You might not have www folder then put it inside public_html

kk for ppl havin truble this is for a windows server first download the ioncube file
PHP Encoder, protection, installer and performance tools from ionCube: Loader Download this is the one i got Windows (x86) tar.gz
now unpack it on your desk top now got to the drive u instaled axmpp on and go here xampp/apache/bin put the ioncubeloaders 5.2dll in that bin folder now look for a file caled php.ini open it and look for [Zend] when u find that add this zend_extension_ts = "C:\xampp\apache\bin\ioncube_loader_win_5.2.dl l" now save it and restart xampp now in yoyr browser put your url thn /ioncube-encoded-file.php that go's at the end it should say all done :) hope this helps u all out thnx :)
