server 406 error

hi can anybody help me?

on my server i keep getting a 406 page on some pages
i found out that the server blocked the words torrent and torrents
i tryed putting mod security off using httaccess
but i still get 406

this is what site gives to me
(all folders i use for this test dont exist on server, but i just used the links to test)
http://sitename.com/lol -------gives a 500 error
http://sitename.com/torrent -------gives a 406 error
http://sitename.com/loltorrent -------gives a 406 error
http://sitename.com/torrentlol -------gives a 406 error
http://sitename.com/torlolrent -------gives a 500 error

lol so you see my problem :P

but now i need fix
please help me

if that dont work then try disabling the module all together .. i.e. comment out or delete the line in httpd.conf that includes this module

edit: also remove any mod security lines in any vhost configs

joeroberts comments have clicked something in my head lol .. can u access any site with the word torrent

try accessing

bvlist.com/torrent

or something similar .. this MAY be a forced error message imposed by ur ISP.. this probably isnt wat joeroberts was thinking but i figured it was worth mentioning just incase ...

i dunno exactly what error message is the norm when ISP's block keywords/sites but since your routed through their system im guessing then can serve you and page or error message they feel like

yes and the torrent itzelf cause it has .torrent in it :P

your screwed inlles you can change the names of things around but chances are it well only last for a short time and you well end up on the short end.
I would ask for my money back and find another server.

tru but there is lil problem
i dont wanna leave that server :P

reason is this
that server is in india (perfect for torrent)

2 x quadcore 2.66ghz
4 gb interal memory
2 or 3 terrabyte harddisk space
and the rest is unlimited


i know other server but its in usa/chicago
and its slower


and because my site always get lots of connections and members
i wanna have a fast server
